Dear New Friends and Supporters,
It has been nearly a year since the introduction of Three Blondes when we concluded the summer of 2008 with a sneak peak of our Three Blondes collection by hosting a pre-launch mad tea party. Just as we like it, the past year has been a whirlwind of fun, challenges, changes and progress! We have decided -- at the urging of our good friends -- that it was time for us to start blogging so you, too, can be a part of the world of Three Blondes. So our friends and supporters can get the inside scoop on all that is Three Blondes.
For those new to the brand, Three Blondes emerged a year and a half ago when we, Summer and Jennifer, decided to put together our creative forces and create a collection of jewelry. Three Blondes jewelry consists of mixing materials (primarily metals and fabrics), combining unlikely colors, various elements and unique finds to create both simple and statement pieces with a vintage feel.
When we first introduced our brand, there were three members of Three Blondes, but now we are two -- Summer Rej and Jennifer Meyers, the founding members. And, as you may or may not have noticed, we are no longer blondes! Many have suggested that we should change the company's name, but for the record, 'Three Blondes' was never in reference to us, but rather three fictional girls living their twenties in Manhattan with a joie de vivre and a killer fashion sense.
Our brand has matured tremendously over the past year, and while we once joked about our influence stemming from cake icing and all that is frilly and frivolous, we have found true inspiration in our favorite artists, cultural trends and movements, and both timeless and cutting edge fashion designs.
We have put in long and hard hours on our newest collection, which is in the midst of completion and will be available for sale online very soon!
